Privacy Policy

TextBit is developed by Hoverbit. We designed TextBit to keep your data on your device. This policy explains what that means.

We do not collect your data. TextBit does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. It has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and makes no network connections of its own.

Your files stay on your device

TextBit only accesses files you explicitly open or save. Their contents are never uploaded or sent anywhere. TextBit runs in Apple's App Sandbox and can only reach files you grant it access to.

Local settings

Your preferences and the list of recently opened files are stored locally on your Mac. A small timestamp and your purchase entitlement are stored in the macOS Keychain to manage the free trial and unlock. None of this leaves your device.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's handling of your payment is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We never see your payment details.
